Why I’ll Be Good at the Job
Being mayor isn’t a part-time role. I’m fortunate to be at a point in my life where I can give this job my full attention. I’m committed to listening to residents, studying the issues carefully, and ensuring our town is managed with transparency, care, and accountability.

Professionally, I bring more than two decades of real-world leadership experience. I’ve built and guided teams, led complex projects, and delivered results on time and on budget. I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice – it’s about listening, building consensus, and getting things done. I recognize and appreciate the tremendous energy, talent, and historical perspective of Brighton’s residents. Tapping into that wealth of insight will be central to how I approach every decision, ensuring our community’s voices guide our decisions.

Most importantly, I care deeply about this canyon. For too long, whether in mining or tourism, decisions made about Big Cottonwood Canyon have prioritized extracting value over the preservation of what makes this place irreplaceable. As mayor, I will lead with conservation and protection at the forefront, so that our legacy preserves the canyon for generations to come.
